3. Purpose
This Home Building Fire Safety Plan outlines procedures to reduce fire risks and protect workers, the public, and surrounding properties during residential construction activities.
4. Responsibilities
Builder (Attesa Homes Inc.)
- Maintain this fire safety plan
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations
- Provide appropriate fire safety resources
Site Superintendent
- Enforce fire safety procedures
- Conduct regular inspections
- Coordinate emergency response
Workers & Subcontractors
- Follow all fire safety rules
- Report hazards immediately
- Understand evacuation procedures
5. Fire Prevention
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Remove waste materials regularly
- Store materials safely away from ignition sources
- Handle flammable materials in approved containers
6. Fire Protection
Each home building site will include appropriate fire protection equipment as required by applicable codes and site conditions.
Equipment shall be:
- Easily accessible
- Clearly visible
- Maintained in good working condition
- Inspected regularly
7. Emergency Procedures
In case of fire:
- Alert others and call 911
- Provide location and details of the fire
- Evacuate immediately
- Attempt to extinguish small fires only if safe
- Proceed to a safe meeting location
8. Evacuation Procedures
- Stop work immediately
- Exit using the nearest safe route
- Move to a safe distance from the building
- Ensure all workers are accounted for

- Keep access routes clear for emergency vehicles
- Ensure the site address is visible
- Maintain clearance around fire hydrants
